At this time I wasn't aware of an African Elephant having ever having performed in an American Circus. I asked Mr. Stern about buying one and he said "Talk to Ross Paul!" (Show's Manager!) We were on the West Coast at the time so I called Louis Goebel and we had one delivered within a month. A simpler life in those days.....I named her "Kenya".
