The NY Times ran a story on Tuesday the 28th

with this headline "With No Heroes in Sight

the Big Apple Circus Will Fold Its Tent"

A line in the story caught me by surprise

as if dismissing the 18 years that the

Woodcock family were a featured attraction

"Big Apple was always a gentle circus with dogs

and ponies rather than tigers and elephants"

Just another example of rewritten circus history

I guess leopards don't count

because they appear so gentle

It's what happens when AR radicals get the last word in print.

Roger I think like so much

of today's news media there

is now very little (if any)

fact checking anymore

(all the news that fits we print)

Facts no longer matter when an agenda is being pushed.

There's an old saying from

many a newsroom reporter

"Never let the facts get in

the way of a good story"

The 2 nominees sure don't

let facts get in the way

They remind me of an old

comedy radio panel show

"Can You Top This"

SCREW THE MEDIA ! ! ! To paraphrase if you will, the great Rodney Dangerfield: THEY get/deserve NO RESPECT, NO RESPRCT at all ! ! ! If the Times indeed said that about dogs and ponies, all I can say is it could not possibly be Glen Collins who wrote it!

That NY Times story was

written by Ginia Bellafante

All the news that fits . . . correct or not.
