Dick Sparrow had one in Baraboo in the parade several years ago. It was a thrill to see that rig coming down the street. Also met Mr. Sparrow when he invited us in to see the horses and get out of the rain.
As did myriads of others, I saw Dick with the 40 in the Great Circus Parade in Milwaukee in 2002. A beautiful sight to behold. Some years later he had a smaller hitch with the Twin Hemispheres at The Big E in West Springfield, Mass. Can't remember now, but I believe there were supposed to have been between 600 & 800 horses involved in the '02 Parade, the last one Chappie saw. Have to find some of my pics.

My hands cramp up just looking at him
I wonder when was the last of these
or if any are still put together
I have only seen a 24 horse hitch
Budwiser teams are mostly only 8
As my Father always said,
"Wagons Of Wood! and Men Of Iron!"
