Bill Strong told me he was there when Captain George Keller died in the cage of a heart attack. This was on the late Texas dates, in Corpus Christi, in 1960. With little interruption, assistant Bill Scamihorne took over, smoothly took up the cues, and continued the act in the old tradition, as Captain Bill Horne.
