It appears from the inscription
that she was "Patrisia Parroff"
before she was married
I remember this lot well seems like we played there over a week.
As mentioned before I worked in the #2 Menagerie Concession Stand but LA had severe Child Labor Laws so I spend most of my time at nearby Movie Theaters.

If it weren't for all the gorgeous
gams I would likely have gone into
some other profession (like plumbing)
Patricia was a beautiful lady. Re the LA Child Labor Laws, when we played the Shrine Auditorium for Castle, in '72, star flyer Ray Valentine, Jr. was still way under age, at 13. Castle needed Ray's triple in the show, so he took him aside, and reminded him while we played Los Angeles, to all inquirers, he was 18.
Buster Keaton appeared in his family’s knockabout vaudeville act when he was quite young and quite small. In one city, a child labor law snooper came around to the theater. Spotting Buster in makeup, he asked of the stage manager, “How old is that guy?” The stage manager, who was in on the gag, replied, “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask his wife.” That night, Buster appeared in the act as usual.
I have the 1928 Minnesota Child Labor Permit for my sister's Ruth and Peggy. Was the Lew Henderson Players tent rep show then, and we never went south of Iowa. Someone was trying to convince my Dad of the benefits of playing the south. Dad, half jokingly replied, "Yeah, then the kids wouldn't have to go to school." Made Mother so mad she still brought it up when she was in her nineties.
