James Bros. Circus

When I arrived to train these three little elephants Sid Kellner had already named one after his wife Lovey and the others after two of her friends Sue and Jackie.
Years later while I was at Circus World I got a call from Sid saying they were for sale and would RB be interested.
So I contacted Kenneth, a deal was made and I sent Gary Jacobson up to the show to pick them up and on return immediately changed their names to "Louie", "Sid" and "Juno".
I later asked Kenneth how much he had paid for them and he said, "More than I wanted to but a lot less than he was asking!" a quip that he I suppose remains in use today.
I added two more elephants to make the five-act that Ted Svertesly worked when we  took the herd on the Blue Show.
So far as I know they all still around.

When I washed elephants with a hose I would have each one do a hind leg stand so I could spray their bellies.
Looks like I missed one this morning!
