Extra

Years later when we played Louisville with the Ringling Show this nice lady took me out to the Zoo and ran "Kenya" her thru her paces then commented how nice it was to have one elephant in the group you could lead around and take places.
I wonder if any Zoo viewers could supply me with her name?

Jennie Jenkins. She left Louisville and worked with elephants at the St. Louis Zoo in the mid to late 1970s. From there she went to Brookfield Zoo for a few years and then out of the elephant business. She past away several years ago do to a heart condition.
