I take a chance spelling Schlarbaum. Can not find the latest menu from the Ring of Fame. Guess he is about the only real band master of the good old days. Kenny Dodd always praises him for his cooperation with him while setting up the clown music the first time he came on the show. The other band masters they had had would not play music for the clowns, and Schlarbaum immediately asked Kenny what music he wanted. Jackie LeClaire
The musician with him is Chuck Schlarbaum. Who can give us what the M stood for as Art's middle name? Hint--it's in a little-seen obituary. For bonus points, what is the heritage of Art's family?

Schlarbaum's legend is his passion for the crescendo, as exhibited by his vociferous
"PLAY YOU ASSHOLES, PLAY!!!"
