I remember being quite impressed with his European style tiger act when he played various Frank Wirth Shrine dates in southern New England during the early 1960s. Preceded Charly Baumann in the US with this style of act. The photo shows his wife's uncaged leopard act. Anyone know where he learned to work with cats?

Had the privilege of being invited to see all the nooks and crannies of his compound in the 80's, in central Florida. Most spectacular was when he placed strips of meat on the branches of a huge bare tree within a big cage. He then opened a small guillotine style door and out ran about 8 leopards. In a flash that tree was crawling with them. In his house he had two humongous elephant tusks and a very respectable knife collection covering two walls. He preferred talking about the knives instead of the cats.

Baudy learned to work cats from his wife, Charlotte, formerly known as "Zeke" Walsh, the widow of Court trainer, Joe Walsh. When they married, he had the greyhound act. She broke their tiger act, and broke him to work it.
