As we see by the white dog, this is a later version of Hawthorn's Animal Fantasy, which was famed for mixing leopards and dogs. Eloise Berchtold trained and premiered the act, succeeded for an interval by Pat Jamison and later by our own Duchess, Rebecca Apponey (with 2 p's).
What ever happened to Rebecca "The Duchess" Apponey? Does anyone ever hear from her?
The Duchess has disappeared it seems?
I know she had a lot of dogs and was low on scratch..I sent her some money afew years back to help her with her dogs but then lost contact as she lost her internet service..
For those who had her address, she's still there. She struggles to maintain her stray animal kennels, with additions far too often dropped over her back fence. We miss her observations here as she has long been without the internet.
