#16 Elephant Acts

This a publicity picture for an elephant named "Suzy" my father bought from Norman Anderson while I was away in the Army originally trained by Wally Ross.
Years later Norman told me that when he unloaded her my father said to my mother, "Babe! Pay the man!" and she reached behind her back and came up with a ditty bag and counted out 35 $100 Bills and her name was immediately changed to "Sadie".
She was a very nice elephant that we had for many years.

Didn't Sadie have a "comfort" pet tire

Yes she did, in fact it came with her.
Got to be a pain in the butt tho, sometimes after the the act she would pass the other two elephants to get back to her tire, prop it on her leg and the world was well again. When grazing she would step in it
with her hind leg and drag it along.

It might have been fun if you

could have found a way to work

that gimmick into the act
