Been there, done that!
I recall an especially sloppy tear down at Jefferson Park in Philly around 1981. The mud was so gooey your mud boots stuck. It made walking rather tedious. I finally just took my boots off and finished loading Hoover's cat truck in my bare feet! They would "stick" but I could always keep them with me!!!
