Antoinette Concello

Unknown said...: My mentor. I just loved Antoinette. She would spent time with a few of us girls on single trap, rings, and extra tricks using the web. She taught me to do a front and back plange and a kip or muscle up using the rings. Things just came to me naturally as I always had upper body strength. At one point, I was able to do every trick that beautiful Dolly Jacobs did with the exception of the Flying knee catch since we only practiced low. I loved Antoinette. I remember her peppy Saturday morning songs when she entered the dressing room with tired showgirls. She and I would trade off babysitting Megan Holst, Tim and Linda's first born. Dick Flint said...: Nice memories warmly conveyed in your heartfelt tribute. I enjoyed reading them! Only met her a couple of times and never had much of any conversation with her. Perhaps I was too in awe of her for her many accomplishments over a long career to make any conversation! And I was just a young man at the time.; 12 December, 2015 02:30
