Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
"There Ain't No Sanity Clause" Chico Marx
Let me guess- James Christy Circus?Best Christmas Wishes to you and all the Bloggers out there.
Merry Christmas to the entire Woodcock Clan.
I hope you and Barbara had a wonderful Christmas with the kids..
CHIC YOU BETTER PUT YOUR GLASSES ON. "SADIE" IS THE SANTA. I WORKED HARD UNRAVELING ALL THAT ROPE TO MAKE HER BEARD. MY FINGERS WERE RAW..........Barbara.........
& a stunning Santa she was Barbara I was only trying to recall an oft quoted silly Chico Marx response during a contract negotiation in the film "Night At The Opera" At least when I spent long hours separating the strands of 1" rope to be sleeved in the creation of circus webs it was soft cotton
The webs I made followed the instructions & details I learned from Leif Osmundsen using 1" cotton rope doubled unlike many of the webs made & sold today which are of 3/4" rope doubled so they have much less fullness in the cotton sleeve
