Ben is atop "Martha" the camel we had at the Rare Bird & Animal Farm. She was old when we got her - from the Pittsburgh, PA Zoo - and had lots of arthritis in her joints. Medical students from Dartmouth College came up to the Farm and injected her with cortisone - a relatively new drug at that time (1955 or 1956).
