Ben carved the picture on this medallion taken from "Anna May" when we trim the elephant's tusks.

Buckles, this is a fine tribute to your son Ben. Both you and Barbara really did an excellent job raising him. It is easy to understand why he choose the career he had rather than going to college on a scholarship to learn another career. Growing up around elephants, espescially Anna May really gave him the love for working with elephants his entire life. How much older than Ben, was Anna May? Thank You for all of the pictures and information you have on your blog, we all enjoy seeing it everyday.

That certainly was a beautiful scrimshaw that he had worked. I hope it has been recovered. He had started on a belt buckle piece that had some intricate drawing on it but never finished it.
