Both Reuben Ray and Ben Davenport were early and long time friends of Lew Henderson's family. Ben Davenport was always after Dad to join his Dailey show. The last time I remember visiting the show in 1947, Dad again shook his head and said no thanks. It was a good show as I remember, and we knew most of the performers. I don't remember the juggler's name (a senior moment), but he was terrific, later on he was Ed Sullivan.
