Terrific observation, CINDY. To paraphrase Hitchcock, it's what doesn't meet the eye that tells the story. If some of us know why this is creative cropping, it's very close to knowing where the bodies are buried. Which means some of us can look at this and smile.
All the best wishes and hopes for NED in his recovery from this morning's surgery.

These 2 gentlemen deserve the greatest respect
They were the only ones that mattered to me out
of that original photo from way back then
Thanks for noticing Cindy

For those few who may not know
Wilson Storey & John Pugh
Wilson (Willy) Storey's daughter
Reneé carries on her father's
tradition as a circus executive
for Branchwater's Cole Bros Circus
She has my greatest respect as well
Willy found & booked talent for all
the Acme Shows as well as for others
including Jimmy Harrington's "Gran
Circo Panamericano" in Puerto Rico
He was the General Manager of a few
Willy had come from France with his
uncle (or cousin) Alfred Court
John (Johnny) Pugh has become
a legend in his own time as
the owner & producer & director
as well as the savior of the
venerable "Cole Bros Circus"
My Alma Mater (so to speak)
I first met both Johnny & Kenny Dodd
when I was a 1st of May in early 61
I consider them my good friends today
