Is that truck at left lettered "Chasing the Flames"?
Maybe Flying LaForms......
Seems the locals use the Native American pronunciation, Pee-roo. I've usually called it Per-ROO. Leonard Farley insisted on the church Latin tones, PAY-roo. I bet the residents have it right. If one knows where to look, there is circus history in this town it would take a lifetime to explore. My respects to those who maintain the old Winterquarters, the Museum, and the Circus City Festival and Youth Circus. Nothing of this had died out in Peru.
We were told by residents that if you were from the area and particularly of senior vintage, it is Pee Roo. Wonder how they feel about that way South of the border.
