I listened to this show as if it were religion. I still have the old Emerson radio that sat at my bedside. It was many years later that I learned Beatty had been played by Vic Perrin. I found him through the AFTRA magazine, and had correspondence with him. To my lasting gratitude, I called his home in Studio City, and was able to talk to him just days before his death from cancer, in 1985.
