More Big Apple

At left are Mr. and Mrs. Alan Slifka who were among the original Big Apple Circus founders and with whom we became casually acquainted. One day my wife called his office while we were in Manhattan and chatted with his Secretary also named Barbara and managed to make an appointment. So one morning off the she goes with all our holdings, on her way to becoming an Investor. Mr. Slifka was very reluctant and explained he never did business with friends particularly with those who didn't know what they were getting into. But the horrid deed was done and fortunately it turned out very well to the extent that until this day whenever I ask her about our financial situation I am admonished not to worry my pretty little head about it. The couple at right are still around.
