True or not...Charlie Bauman told me that after seeing Jenda and Tanya on the revolving prop Charlie added the now much copied mirror ball tiger sit up .. I can still here Shangri-La.

Not quite Lee but there are many

similar versions of this story

Charly had the idea from many

years back in Europe after seeing

any number of mirrored balls in

dance halls & cabaret theaters

Some shop in Austria tried

an attempt at a platform ball

that failed miserably he said

When Trolle introduced me to

Charly after Victor Gaona told

Trolle of my abilities I was

given the opportunity to build

the 1st unit for Kismet & a few

years later built the 2nd unit

There is an interesting story

about the direction of that 2nd

that I'll save for another time

I actually started with the 1st

few pages of a book some years

back that I intend to get back

to working on which has a title

"As The Mirrored Ball Turns"

which is explained in the prologue

The Richters had a small revolve unit

for a fairly large elephant they said

was built in Hungary before "the war"

I did some major overhaul & rewiring

of it for our Monte Carlo tour

Their elephant did a 1 foot & Bella

did a 1 handstand on her head
