I remember Albert from the Cole Show in the mid '40's. Bobby Johnson told me that one day in the Ringling dressing room some new clown picked up one of his many high heeled shoes and accidentally dropped it on the floor and Flo shrieked "Watch what you're doing you clumsy, First of May S.O.B.!".....for a moment the the room was silent then exploded into laughter since it was so out of character.
