Dick Anderson told me these were on the order of three tricks Kirk Douglas learned for the EQUILIBRIUM segment of THE STORY OF THREE LOVES (MGM, 1953). He and Harold and Eileen Voise got a release from Clyde Beatty to go make this movie. They had Ricardo Montalban trained to his tricks and ready to shoot, when MGM decided to move him over with Kirk. Dick said he was a nice guy and worked hard with them, but they had to start from scratch with Kirk to get him into three "girl tricks".
Few might know that Slick was born Maximillian Sandovinci, and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Bill Valentine. How exactly the brother I met, and this sister figure in as blood or adopted kin, I've never been told.

My wife tells me she mastered the "feets across", the "crab across" and the "half turn back".
That's more than some of the babes
I've seen used to flash a flying act
A few just swung out & had to be
helped back up on the pedestal
I seem to recall a picture of her in flight.
I'll have to ask her her about that.

This might be Slick Valentine &
the other lady might be his sister
Rosie Valentine.

Is that Billy Wood's on the right? He built Cuneo's first cat chute, pre Farfan.
