From Chris Berry #1


This very early color photograph was taken on Chicago's Soldier Field lot about 1940. The image was created by Adam Szwejkowski, an early pioneer in color photography. It shows the midway prior to a matinee performance.

Chris,
Thank you so much for sharing these great color photos of Ringling under canvas.
If it was not for Kodak an there gold standard for film, Kodachrome we would not have this great color today.
Kodachrome does not fade and been around since 1935 with it's beautiful colors and there was a lab in the Chicago area to get it processed.

I have slides that were taken using Kodachrome that have retained their excellent colors and clarity.
