Wow ! This is exciting. Interesting to see how the C&B herd is growing. There's that name India again. I wonder if Howard Johnson bought her the following year. Kimba is a new name too. Still looking for information on Dino Cristiani and his two elephants Babe and Suwan. Tidy, too, with Royal Ranch. Alita on Schmitt Bros. and Rosie with Bucky Steele are new. I have never heard of John Strong Sr. owning other elephants on his show than the Neenas - an African female is especially interesting. Those Barnes and Dailey elephants especially fascinate me - Babe was known by a lot of names, including Punk. She is lost to my later records and I have no information on Queenie. If anyone can fill in some blanks please do so. Thanks again, Buckles !!!
I've got one figured out ! Alita was owned by Byron Osander of Minnesota. He had a small show that toured fairs and a little circus around the Dakotas and Minnesota. "Alita" was purchased from Six Flags Over Texas. She was sold to the Oklahoma City Zoo as a potential mate for "Butch" ( later owned by Gary Johnson and Smokey Jones ). After the zoo sold "Butch," Lita was sold to Jurgen Schulz. Rex Williams took her on Vargas but she disappears again - probably a name change. Still more info needed as to what became of her. I wonder if this animal was "Sue" ?
