Were these the earliest seat wagons

I believe they were Chic, they were designed by Capt. William Curtis. Notice the starback seats I understand that when these wagons were done away with the lumber was used for some of the barns in Peru. I have one of the old starback seats in my collection. Capt. Curtis also designed the early canvas spool wagons.

I have heard these seat wagons could be a problem on soft lots.
Maneuvering them around inside the Big Top usually tore up the hippodrome track.
