1979 Charlie Stevenson, Bandmaster, at the Band Sleeper. He played in
RBBB under Merle Evans after the war, and also played with the Clyde Beatty Cole
Brothers band, and was bandmaster on King Bros. for a number of years.

Was this a converted school bus
Yes, the bus had no seats except for the driver, and some steel beds, like we slept on as kids. There was a separate storage area in the back that was accessed through the emergency door.
When we jumped, we either drove a show truck or sat shotgun with the driver.
