Prince Paul down front
1975 Blue tour was a "Rodeo Route"
Very sad to think something like this will probably never be seen again. I`ve always said I was born to late to see the great tented rail shows of the late 1800`s thru the 40`s, but sure glad I got to witness this.
Production number called the Barnum & Bailey Razz Ma Tass with Prince Paul in a Rudy Vallee inspired costume.
To the left of Prince is the charming clown, Janice Gillespie.
She married Mike Aria, the beat trainer, and they appeared at Circus World theme park with their performing bears. The also put together a liberty Golden Retriever turn. Unfortunately, Mike passed away from Lou Gehrig's disease.
Janice Aria, MS, is the Director of Animal Stewardship at the RBBB Center of Elephant Conversation.
1974 was the first year of the two year tour for the Blue Unit.
Sorry - typing too fast in my other comment.
Corrections: It's the Barnum and Bailey Razz Ma Tazz, not tass.
Mike Aria was a bear trainer, not beat trainer.
I don't know if it's me (likely) or auto-correct on the computer.
Anyway, Good Morning to all.
Big fingers & small keys Mike
Janice Aria was one of many circus celebrities at the Worldwide Circus Summit.
Don Covington
Classy lady.
