This looks like a grizzly bear - -very aggressive. Their Latin name is appropriate - - Ursus arctos horribilis. Grizzlies are closely related to the larger Kodiak bears from Alaska. Both are difficult and dangerous to train.

Ursula Boettcher's assistant, Manfred Horn, was killed by a Kodiak bear he was trying to work.
