I seem to recall this had been a "Whale" car.

Has anyone seen one of the whale exhibits that would travel in cars like that? I have heard that they got pretty smelly as time went on.
Bob...
Paid a dime (I think) to go up into the car and view the whale from a walk-around platform. The car was parked on siding of the Grand Central Railroad in my hometown of Kendallville, Indiana.. in the late 1940's.. as I recall. Of course, half-hoped it would be alive!!!??? Don't remember an odor. Still haven't seen a live one except the beluga whales at the New York Aquarium at Coney Island. Nearest is the wonderful blue whale, suspended from the ceiling in the American Museum of Natural History here in New York City.
