This shot is from Ring of Fear, the scene where he drives the escaped tiger into the baggage car. Chic: I was over there 1960-63 mostly on the advance.

In this, his last close-up, we might think we're seeing a smile. But it quickly segues into a grimace over Sean McClory's anguished screams. His maniac Ringmaster character, Dublin O'Malley, had opted to hide in the same boxcar which Beatty found convenient to trap the tiger O'Malley had released.
