"Suzie"" was added to the Miller-Woodcock elephant act in 1958 as seen here with "Anna May" and "Lydia" while I was away in the Army then re-named "Sadie" after my mother Sarah Elizabeth.
Years later, Luke told me that after he delivered her in Hugo my father said, "Babe! Go fetch your grouch bag!" and when she returned counted out thirty five hundred dollars.

Our youngest grand daughter is named Sadie Beth, The only Sadies I knew were dogs and elephants. (I told her mother about your Sadie and suggested our Sadie might like to play with a little tire.) The Beth part is my sister's middle name. Now I know our Sadie almost shares a name with your mother, she can carry that distinction proudly. Our Sadie graduates from kindergarten next week and will do honor to the name.
Then she would have been 4 or 5
at the time of this photo
What would Anna May's & Lydia's
ages have been back then
In my vocabulary the name Sadie
is always preceded by Grandma
(my other Grandma was Sophie)
Chic..

Chic, the other grand daughter's name Sophie. The names must go as a set.
Careful Jim or kissy will start
giving you the what for (or what
it isn't for) Just wish he wasn't
such a coward in hiding but at
least he keeps commenting
