Interesting exchange!

Ringling comment submission:

I have seen the circus since I was a child. I grew up in a circus family. My ancestor, Albert Cauble owned a circus called Monroe's Mighty Circus. He was the proud owner of an elephant eventually sold to your show named General Tom Tom. I am so sorry to see the elephants leave the show. My grandfather was part of Albert's show and I learned much about the circus and the elephants. I do have a photo of Albert and Tom Tom I am happy to email you if you'd like it.

From Vicki:
Here is a very old photo of Tom Tom and my ancestor, Albert Monroe Cauble. At the time General Tom Tom weighed 8565 pounds.

From Buckles:
Doesn't sound right, "Anna May" was around 8,000 lbs.
This guy looks a lot bigger than that.

Albert must have been a large man?
