What a real pleasure to meet this circus person and hear his stories of the past.
I am sure he was the one that came up with in 1956, Last of the circus, see it now or miss it forever.

Art and Pete Smith had an apartment over "Preacher's" establishment. I have stayed there with Art after the advance was in but before the show got in. Then it was back to the Webb.

Art was at one time credited with a lot of the KM success and growth but somewhere along the line he and Dorey had a beef and it was goodbye Art.

Later on I know Art did some booking for Bill English.

For ten points what was his hometown name?

Harry: I didn't mean the name of the town; I mean the name Art was known as in Walnut Ridge.

Apparently there are no takers. Around home Art was called J Eddie Holmes. I don't know when he picked up the name Art Miller but he went by it on Seils Sterling in the thirties.

Look at some of Art's old Kelly-MIller route books and you'll see he listed Eddie as Contracting Press Agent. And on Seils-Sterling he listed Eddie as Special Agent. An inside joke.
