I've only seen this act on videos. It's a nice sea lion act performing the usual sea lion behaviors. To me the highlight is the good condition of the animals and their care. Like Marco Peters' set-up, the sea lions have a large pool. One video had a reporter in the pool with the animals being towed around like at a "swim with the dolphin" place.
It seems that through the years
that Sea Lions have been billed
as Seals in the circus
Actually there's a pretty big difference between sea lions and fur seals (otarids) and true seals (phocids). Among other things, sea lions can rotate their hind flippers under their bodies and get around on land quite well, true seals scoot along on their bellies kind of like caterpillars. I could go on but as my wife would remind me, most people really don't care.
