To answer your question.
We found out immediately that anyone attending a Worlds Fair with huge free exhibits from General Motors, Disney and most major nations in the world and a limited time to do so, is not going sit thru something that comes regularly to their home town.
The only solution was more performances, I don't remember how many we appeared in, my wife certainly would but despite our efforts the fair goers failed to come to their senses and stayed away by the thousands.
There was a tremendous show next to us called "To Broadway With Love" that suffered the same fate along with several others. |

I was standing in the marquee one day talking to Lloyd Morgan when a lady with some kids came up and wanted to know if this was the Rest Room.
Nuf Ced.
Did the show last the entire 1st
year of the fair & did Lloyd stay
I believe the Texas Music Hall
packed it in early
Chic:
Do you any additional information.
Was there another ticket required to attend the show? This was in the days before pay-one-price at the amusement parks and fairs, generally.
I don't remember what kind of contract we had or for how long but late in the first year I was called into the office and Morgan told me we were no longer required.
I better remember my wife's reaction receiving the news, the air plane flight to NYC the following winter, discussions in a Lawyer's Office and monies plus Lawyer fees being received in full.
The circus was not a free event
No idea of admission cost but a
day pass to the fair was only $2
The program shown here yesterday
has a 50 cent price on it
In 64 Broadway shows were priced
mostly between 5 & 15 dollars
Don't know if it closed early or
not but there was no 2nd year
Fair Folks had some derogatory
description of the "wrong side"
of the (LIE) highway area as if
it were a toxic waste site & I
only stumbled upon the circus by
shear accident 1 night & it was
closed for the evening (early)
I was merely a 4th of May in 64
(having been a 1st of May in 61)
& didn't really know anybody yet
