"Kay", "Jean", "Anna May", "Millie" and "Opal". "Kenya" and "Stella" up front. I might be flattering myself but I'm not aware of any African elephant doing a ground sit-up in this country prior to this or even appearing in the ring for that matter. "Kenya" broke out in a couple of days just like all the rest. Gunther was a sensation later with "Kongo" but I don't recall her ever doing a trick. My father always regarded them as something like a Pterodactyls , interesting to look at but that's about all. D.R. even named one after him (Colonel) and he wouldn't even go look at her.
