As one who is ignorant of the growth patterns of tusks, I find it intriguing that as one can see in #4 his tusks are pointing out, but the older he gets the more crossed towards the middle they become. Are there any educated comments out there?
I was up at the Two Tails Ranch last Sunday, and Patti Zerbini was talking about Luke's beautiful Ivory. She said that since the Asians are fairly close genetically to the Mastadons. Their tusks were curled and she explained that is why the Asian's tusks curl.
