On Sunday, to celebrate my 60th Birthday, my wife surprised me with a visit
to Patricia Zerbini's Two Tails Ranch. We had a great time, and it was a
very special treat for me to be that close to a couple of elephants again.
Luke seemed to be a real Gentleman, I got to sit on his knee and have my
picture taken. I thought there might have been an earlier discussion about
Luke and his pre-retirement history, but I couldn't recall it when my
Barbara asked about it.

Where have I been, Luke's retired? I have photos of him as a punk in 1994 on RBBB.

I may have overstated Luke's status. He's still working, but he's not doing the touring and such he used to do. Patti said that the recent Jimmy Fallon appearance at Universal Orlando had one of her elephants eating a watermelon.
Two ladies that I know from Ohio thought that Luke had been a resident of either the Toledo or Cincinatti Zoo for several years. I know that Luke toured on the Blue Show in 94, but did he live in a zoo during his career or was this another Luke or big fellow with nice tusks.
