"Tena" was one of the first elephants I ever presented in the ring.
D.R. booked the elephants on the Texas dates one Fall in the mid '50's and Logan was short a herd worker.
I worked "Margaret", "Tena" and "Elsie" in an end ring and thought I cut a pretty wide swath until I noticed the Prop Guys shaking their heads from side to side.
Those wise old elephants knew they had a chump and rousted me around pretty good.
