1958
Looking more like a mug shot this is elephant man Ted Gallop, I'm sure some of you West Coast guys remember him.
My father hired Ted to drive the bull truck while I was away in the Army, he had a lot of baggage and due to a lack of space decided build an indestructible closet in one corner behind the elephants.
Reluctantly my father agreed and sure enough after the first trip they opened the door and it looked like Sherman's March to the Sea, clothes, pictures, personal belongings scattered everywhere and "Lydia" innocently thumping his type writer up and down.
Ted reached in, picked up a shoe and asked, "Know any one legged men?"

Ted was around the Compound at times, but wasn't on the payroll in my era. He also visited shows when we had the Jungleland animal act package out for James Bros. and Miller-Johnson.
Sir: We don't speak lightly of Sherman's March to the Sea.
