More Barnett #3

"The Hendrix Troupe tight wire act.
Don't know the lady at left but flanking Eddie Hendrix are Ursulene McIntosh, Norma Rogers and Flo McIntosh.
I vividly recall my mother and I riding the train from Hot Springs to York when I was 5 or 6 and upon arriving went immediately to the Hospital to visit Ursulene who had been kicked in the head by a horse.
I remember a lot of flowers and her comment that she appreciated them but they reminded her of a funeral and she died that night.
Davey McIntosh later married Grace McIntosh whom we all remember from her days as a Circus Producer.

I remember Grace doing a single trap routine on Kelly-Miller.

My dad, Harry Swank, told me about a good friend of his who had been kicked in the head by a horse and died. He was on Wallace bros so this must be the girl he was talking about. He was very bitter about it.

Grace and Flo were on Dales in 1948. Flo often talked about Ursulene. Being in a small town at the time of the accident they were doubtful about her treatment at the hospital. Flo missed her a lot. Grace was doing traps and leading spec, but she stopped when Romigs left the show. I took over leading spec. Charlie Cuthbert had the band.
