1962 #7

I've told the story on the Blog many times, of us and Oscar Cristiani filling in for Rex and the Beatty Show elephants when they pulled out of Palasades Park prematurely to open in Comack.
I sure liked working in that big 150' top, it also shows how my father had originally routined  the act with the elephants positioned in opposing directions.
But most importantly a good shot of the bull tubs for Chic before they had been elevated.

Thanks Buckles but these don't

look like they could have been

modified to become the "W"s

These have nearly vertical sides

I guess you meant these were

the previous tubs

I well recall those open frame

lights hung from the quarters

they were protection for 1000

watt PS 52 lamps that I still

have cases of here in storage

Shortly after this I started to

develop newer lighting fixtures

I believe that Leaf top had three

48 foot middles & peaked at about

49 feet on 55 foot center poles

There were 20 inside quarters at

34 feet & 30 outside quarters at

26 feet & 76 sidewall at 12 & 4

doorway poles at 16 (from Leif)

Inside quarters had blue ends

Outside quarters had red ends
