More Movin On! #1

In answer to Larry Louree's question about the rapport between "Anna May" and Keenan Wynn (seen checking into the Motel in Charlotte) Barbara would have to explain it since I had to remain behind at Circus World and take care of the shop.
This whole thing came out of the blue when a Hollywood Exec friend of Irvin Feld called him explaining that they had this project on location and the elephant they had hired didn't work out and after trying to get by using rubber trunks and rubber ears etc. things had come to a halt.
So like the "Beverly Hillbillys" I loaded up the truck with "Anna May", Barbara, Ben, Gary Jacobson, their wives and away they went.

The whole making of "Movin On" was a blast. I really enjoyed it. Ben stood back and let me run things. I was behind trash cans, trees, signs, trucks, anything and everything. And even in some of the scenes. These were the producers that did "Bullet & French Connection." They wanted to do a spin off with Anna May, Ben, Shannon, (as grandson), Keenan Wynn, and myself. I ask what kind of time it would take and what kind of money. They said six months (the way Anna May works.) And one million dollars for our part. Even if it was not picked up the next season, which they were sure it would be. I called Buckles right away. He told me I had gone "HOLLYWOOD". This was Aug. they had to get writers on it right away, so they needed an answer. Our contract was up in Feb. But they wanted to buy our contract out from RBB&B. I really wanted to do it. But Buckles had put so much work into the Ringling Herd of Elephants and he didn't want to do the T.V. show. Soooo.......I LOVE MY HUSBAND ONE MILLION DOLLARS WORTH. He still thought I had gone "HOLLYWOOD".....I am so glad we went the way we did.....At the time it was a hard decision to make.....Barbara.....
