My father used to tell the story about the first day of elephant rehearsal with the Cole Show in winter quarters when Miss Lovett was late and without saying a word, as soon as she stepped in the ring he yelled "Move Up!"
Frantically she started looking for a familiar face and spotting Rosie Stank and screamed..."Rosie!.....Rosie!.....What's next?.....
He indignantly shot back, ".....the spindle is next Miss Lovett...don't you see me getting ready to put it in?
