While on the subject of circus toys, here is a photo showing the prototype of a Louis B. Marx tinplate Super Circus electric train from the early 1950s that was never put into production. (This hand-painted prototype, showing members of the Super Circus TV cast, was found in the Marx archives when the company’s assets were auctioned off back in 1978.)
