I remember when this logo was being used.
Had something to do with comic book characters that were in the works.
1st used in the 99th edition
back in 69 & each character
had some clever catchy name
such as "Ring" & "Ling"
That logo had been phased out
by the time these photos were
taken except for adorning some
of Bobby Johnsen's stands
That logo was used 2 or 3 years
By 72 it was mostly gone
It may have come out of Texas
from that advertising outfit
Suzannah Smith came from
The characters were: Ring, Ling, Barnum and Bailey.
They went away along with the musical group The Klowns, another RBBB project from the early 70s.
In the photo the floss is on cones but RBBB switched to floss in a bag with a souvenir premium, usually a felt hat or the "Bello Wig".
Speaking of floss in a bag, did anyone attend opening night (or dress rehearsal) of MARVEL LIVE which debuted in Tampa?
I meant "went along" as in 86'd.
86 sounds like a food service
term Mike I think redlighted
is more our style
Yes, Chic, 86'd is burnt into my brain from my youth working in my father's grocery store in The Bronx.
We always 86'd the dented soup cans when they fell to the floor.
I have no idea where 86'd originated but as much as I try I don't think I can red light that slang reference from my brain.

86 is a term that was or maybe
still is part of shortcut slang
used by diner & lucheonette
staff that includes words like
"down" for toast & "burn um"
for well done "draw 1" = coffee
"2 up & dress um" are for eggs
Many of us know "mainline" but
that is somewhat specific
I buy those dented cans Mike at
half off the regular price but
I don't let my wife see them
Aside from her being a Special
Assistant in marketing to Allen
Suzannah was also a USO girl
(if you get that drift)
As Harry mentioned last week
"I'm bad to the bone" or worse
