The Wagons Roll At Night #40


When Matt returns for the big Chicago opening, Nick greets him cordially and tells him to forget their recent differences. He also convinces Matt to add a new finale to the act: working Caesar, who has recently gained notoriety by killing a member of the big cat crew.

This arena survived through my Compound years. Acts taking it out for circus tours included Chet Juszyk, Pat Anthony, Mabel Stark, Dick McGraw, and myself. The sections were 5' x 12'. Dick and I took 20 sections out, giving us a cage of 31.831' diameter. I know where this cage is now, plus 7 additional odd sections, stacked on their sides, stripped by the elements of paint, and laying exposed in a California canyon, slowly returning to nature.
