Mr. Wyler was due to view the rough
cut [of the race] on
Sunday. I met him on his set the
following morning.
“Well,” he said soberly, “I ran the race yesterday. His serious
expression alarmed me. My stomach
sank.
“What’s the verdict?”
“Yak,” he said with a face
breaking into a slow smile, “All I can say is – my stuff has got to be great to
match it.” |
